Oh how I love to shoot pictures of babies..I love every category but babies are just so much fun! Even on a chilly day they don’t complain…I’m sure this little doesn’t complain about much, just look how happy he is!

Finley and I went to Ottawa for a week last week, and of coarse I couldn’t go home without getting some family shots! My next entry will be some highlights from the trip. What an awesome time, alone time with my girl 

Linda and Colin are the proud new parents of baby Jake, and I’m the lucky one who got to take his first pics! You forget really how small new borns are. Jake was 8 days old when these were taken( he’s about 2 weeks now) which means baby sleeps alot during the shoot, which is great because they stay still for long periods of time and they wake up long enugh to get a few shots with his eyes open. For me,there is never enough time in a single shoot..I feel like I can shoot all day and before you know it, 4 hours have gone by!

This is my second time shooting this very photogenic family! First time around Greta was Sadie’s age( around 5 months,) so I was happy to get to shoot some pics for them again! I love the challenge of getting kids to want to get their pic taken, children photograph best when you just let them do their thing, whether it be playing, making”supper” or asking them if they see dora running around in lense( good tip to get them to look at the camera!) I really love the “family feel” of these pictures…pictures don’t always have to be everyone looking at the camera all of the time…enjoy!
